I was born on a bike. When my brewmaster peddled his way through Europe – all the while sampling beer during his journey, the tires on his mountain bike garnered glances and comments that inspired my iconic name. The flavour profiles that he discovered on that ride sparked the recipe for me, the beer that he would soon begin to brew in his Colorado basement.
Today, I am the flagship beer of my brewery and am known to almost every craft drinker in America. I've won fans with my 1930s Belgian-style profile: flavourful and balanced character of fresh herbal hops, fine malt and touch of fruity yeast. Fun fact: I'm America's first certified carbon neutral beer! So when you drink me, you're promoting sustainability and reducing your carbon footprint on the environment. Cheers to that!

New Belgium Brewery began operations in 1991 and has been eco-friendly since. The brewery is entirely wind-powered, uses energy-saving brewing equipment and even pays an increased rate for renewable energy. In 2000, New Belgium introduced its employee ownership program and developed a very quirky corporate culture, putting them in lists of 'Most Audacious Companies' and 'Best Places to Work'. Today, New Belgium is the 4th largest craft brewery in the US and has some of the best and happiest brewers to create great beer for them.
