Golden, Colorado, USA.
Founder Adolph Coors was born in 1847 in a German town known today as Wuppertal-Oberbarmen. At the age of 14, he began working at the Henry Wenker Brewery in Dortmund. Adolph has always considered that water was the key ingredient for a perfect beer. Therefore, in 1873, he decided to establish the Adolph Coors Company in Golden, Colorado, using the Rocky Mountains as the primary source of the water used in the beer. The brewery's flagship is Coors Light, a 4.2% ABV light lager beer that was just produced in 1978. Coors Brewing Co is now a regional division of the world's third-largest brewing company, the Molson Brewing Co.
