Kutch Mcdougall Pinot Noir - 2016

| 12.0% ABV

From an ocean view site high above 1,000-feet in elevation, this dark garnet coloured wine is fresh and fruity, shining in wild berries, black cherries, pine, spice and burnt tobacco, with a thickness to the tannin that belies its overall elegance and spark. Notes of forest floor, plum, cherry and wild Asian five-spice trickle through quietly along with a velvety seductive texture of balance. Powerful, alluring, intense and resonant, the Kutch Mcdougall Pinot Noir captures all the elements that make Jamie Kutch's wines so compelling. Only 350 cases produced!

About the Brand

Jamie Kutch, a Fordham graduate and former stock trader, gave it all up to move to California and make wines. Naturally, people thought he was crazy, until he managed to convince Michael Browne of the great Kosta Browne Winery to take him in as a student. Kutch's first Pinot Noirs scored high points by sommeliers and wine press like the Wine Spectator and quickly became one of the new young hounds in the Pinot race and now regarded as among the best balanced, restrained, food-friendly and age-worthy wines in America.
