I live up to Big Smooth's name with huge and plush characters of inviting fruit flavours and spice complexity. I'm bold and rich with aromas of ripe boysenberry fruit, luscious berry jam, sweet cassis, and aromatic mocha notes. My winemakers' usage of oak underpins a pleasing toasty profile that showcases my silky smooth texture and a grandiose intensity of which I'm famous for.
The majority of my fruit came from my winery's favourite, long-time partners at Alabama Ranch in Lodi, California. The Cabernet Sauvignon grown there is the core of my flavours, giving me varietal correctness along with nuances of dried herbs and minty spice notes. Small amounts of Petite Sirah and Tannat varietals were also added to my final blend, which created the complex, dense, and inky purple hue that you'll see when you indulge in me!
