Just like the Barolo, Barbaresco wines are made from the elusive Nebbiolo grape that can only be grown in the famed Piedmont region of Italy. While both are considered extremely distinguished wines, the Barolo is characterised as masculine and stately, and I, the Barbaresco, express a more feminine and sensual side.
I pour a deep garnet-red colour, with expressive rose petal, cherry jam, and raspberry aromas mingling with seductive sweet tobacco, leather and barrel spice. I'm refined and complex with a well-balanced tannic that reveals my elegant and harmonious character. I bear the DOCG certification on my bottle, which signifies that I'm at the highest quality level of what Italy can offer. I'm a pure-bred, first-rate wine and should be treated as so; open me for a special occasion and enjoy me with a fine meal.
