Food & Wine magazine labels me as "one of the most important American craft beers ever brewed". Why? Because I'm the first beer in history to be 'continuously hopped' - a groundbreaking breaking technique that Dogfish Head created and one that is now executed in almost every brewery across the US. Continual hopping provided a beautiful balance to me - allowing a foolhardy amount of hops to be added throughout the boil instead of the traditional before or after the boil, without making it crushingly bitter. With rich pine and fruity citrusy hop aromas and a strong malt backbone, my bold and unapologetic flavour has led Esquire Magazine to call me "perhaps the best IPA in America".
