More About Me

I have quite the unique origin story, you see, I was born on a bike. My brewmaster was touring through Europe, sampling all the local beers, and it was on this journey that the tires on his mountain bike caught the eye of many and inspired my name. The flavours he discovered on that trip became the foundation for my recipe, which he then began to craft in his Colorado basement.

Fast forward to today, I am the flagship beer of my brewery and a familiar name among craft beer enthusiasts across America. My 1930s Belgian-style profile, with its flavourful and balanced character of fresh herbal hops, fine malt and touch of fruity yeast, has earned me a loyal following.

But what truly sets me apart is that I am America's first certified carbon neutral beer, so when you choose to drink me, you're not only indulging in great taste, but you're also promoting sustainability and reducing your carbon footprint on the environment. Cheers to that!

New Belgium Brewing

New Belgium Brewery began operations in 1991 and has been eco-friendly since. The brewery is entirely wind-powered, uses energy-saving brewing equipment and even pays an increased rate for renewable energy. In 2000, New Belgium introduced its employee ownership program and developed a very quirky corporate culture, putting them in lists of 'Most Audacious Companies' and 'Best Places to Work'. Today, New Belgium is the 4th largest craft brewery in the US and has some of the best and happiest brewers to create great beers for them.
