4 Pines Brewing Co.

let's tap into their story!

Drink beer, make it good beer, sip it slowly, so your tastebuds dance in your mouth.

A good beer is like good music; groovy, pleasant, and inviting. That was the ideal type of beer Jaron Mitchell and his father aspired to drink, but their options were limited. The two then realised that if there weren’t many good beers out there, all they had to do was to make their own - and that’s exactly what they did.

What started out as a small brewpub eventually grew to become one of Australia’s iconic beer brands with multiple venues around New South Wales and Victoria.

4 Pines has a bunch of tasty beers no doubt, but it is also the creator of the world’s first space-certified beer - the 4 Pines Nitro Stout. Engineered along with Saber Astronautics, the dry Irish stout is sealed in a nitro-infused bottle, ready to be properly savoured in zero gravity.

It’s the B-Corp certification for us!

Beer is important, but that’s not the only thing that 4 Pines focuses on; the brewery is extremely big on hospitality and sustainability. The brewery goes out of its way to ensure that it is both socially and environmentally responsible - truly giving certified B Corp energy. In fact, the brewery has been B-Corp certified since 2017, so you can be rest assured that 4 Pines is more than just a profit-hungry corporation.

Since 2020, 4 Pines has partnered with Landcare Australia - a grassroots movement dedicated to managing environmental issues in local communities across Australia - and is also a member of 1% for the Planet - a global organisation that aims to put people and the planet over profit.
Beer has been around for over 5,000 years, and it’ll probably stick around for another 5,000 years. 4 Pines is simply giving its consumers the choice of a cleaner beer. Over the years, the brewery has managed to cut their usage of water in the brewing process, completely rely on renewable energy, and, well, plant trees.

As of Aug 2022, 44,444 native trees, shrubs, and groundcovers had been planted at Cape Jervis on South Australia’s Fleurieu Peninsula. This was a conjoined effort by 4 Pines, Landcare Australia, and 1% for the Planet in hopes of improving the biodiversity and habitat along the South Australian Coastline.
