Bonjour, darlings! Step into the world of Mort Subite Kriek Lambic, where cherries reign supreme. Crafted from a blend of one-year-old Lambic steeped in Morella cherries and a three-year-old Lambic, I embody the essence of sudden delight.
My name, "Mort Subite," meaning "Sudden Death," comes from my founder's favourite dice game played in the historic café called Café Mort Subite, which was established in the vibrant city of Brussels back in 1928.
Every pour of mine dazzles in luminous red, crowned with a sumptuous creamy pink head, a sight that sets hearts aflutter. Close your eyes, and let my intoxicating aroma whisk you away to sun-drenched cherry orchards, where the air is filled with the sweet scent of ripe cherries. Take a sip and experience the harmonious interplay of my refreshingly sweet and sour flavors, leaving you craving for more. I am an irresistible allure, a true gem among Belgian Lambics, and a delight that will enchant your senses...

Mort Subite, which means “sudden death”, began with a bar called “À la Cour Royale”. Back then, a popular dice game called Pietjesbak was all the rage, and a variation of that game also grew in popularity. That’s right, the variation was called “Mort Subite”, and the owner of the bar decided to name the bar and its beers after the trendy variation of Pietjesbak. Since then, the brewery has been churning out bottle after bottle of lambic beers with strong personalities and unique tastes - thanks to its wild yeasts. Today, Mort Subite is one of the most respected breweries in Belgium, with multiple award-winning lambics under its belt!
