I am the deeper, darker sibling of the classic Weihenstephaner wheat beer — a chestnut-hued pour born from nearly a millennium of brewing mastery at the world’s oldest brewery. My roots trace back to Bavarian monks, but my soul belongs to those who truly savour beer.
Beneath my creamy white head lies a velvety body laced with notes of caramel, ripe banana, and soft malt. My full-bodied richness is balanced by a refreshing effervescence, creating a mouthfeel that’s both smooth and satisfying. I’m bold but approachable, with a fruity sweetness that lingers gently on the palate.
Pair me with roast pork, grilled game, or dark chocolate desserts — I’m equally at home by the fire or at the feast. Pour me properly into a glass and let my aromas unfold. I’m not just a beer; I’m a Bavarian tradition, poured and perfected through centuries.

Almost a thousand years ago, in the 1040s, Weihenstephan was known as the monastery brewery of the Benedictine monks. Today, it is the oldest still-existing brewery in the entire world and stands upon the Weihenstephan hill in old Bavaria, surrounded by traditional German countryside. With their rich heritage comes a high level of responsibility to produce consistent and great quality beer. Generations of knowledge, techniques and recipes have been passed down from brewmaster to brewmaster, ensuring that Weihenstephan is still producing the world's most awarded and highly-regarded German beer.
