Born from the heart of Old Bavaria and perfected over centuries atop Weihenstephan Hill, I am the original Helles — crisp, golden, and quietly confident. Mellow in demeanor but deep in tradition, I carry the soul of Germany’s most beloved everyday beer.
Pour me into a glass and you’ll see a gleaming straw hue crowned by a tight, creamy foam. On the nose, I whisper soft aromas of baked biscuit, floral hops, and just a flicker of peppery spice. My palate? Exceptionally clean, delicately malty, with a light hop bitterness that rounds out into a smooth, satisfying finish.
I don’t shout. I shine. My long maturation draws out character and balance, making me equally at home with stews, salads, schnitzel, or nothing at all. I’m your timeless table beer, brewed by the world’s oldest brewery and poured in countless beer halls, kitchens, and celebrations since 1040.

Almost a thousand years ago, in the 1040s, Weihenstephan was known as the monastery brewery of the Benedictine monks. Today, it is the oldest still-existing brewery in the entire world and stands upon the Weihenstephan hill in old Bavaria, surrounded by traditional German countryside. With their rich heritage comes a high level of responsibility to produce consistent and great quality beer. Generations of knowledge, techniques and recipes have been passed down from brewmaster to brewmaster, ensuring that Weihenstephan is still producing the world's most awarded and highly-regarded German beer.
