I am Vitus. Strong in spirit, elegant in form, and born in tribute to the patron saint of brewers himself. Brewed by the world’s oldest brewery, I carry nearly a thousand years of sacred fermentation wisdom within my golden, effervescent body.
Though I belong to the bock family of strong beers, I defy expectations. My pale golden glow and creamy crown of foam may look delicate, but beneath lies a powerful yet refined wheat ale. I greet you first with bold aromas of dried apricots, ripe banana, and sun-kissed citrus. Then come the notes of clove, velvety yeast, and caramelised malt — all harmonised by fine carbonation that creates a luxurious, foaming sensation across the palate.
Lagered patiently for balance and finesse, I’m effervescent yet full-bodied, fruity yet grounded, bold yet never boozy. A symphony of strength and grace.
I am not a seasonal indulgence, I am a year-round celebration of Bavarian excellence. Whether you’re pairing me with roast pork, creamy cheese, or sipping me solo in silent reverie, know this: I’m not just a strong wheat beer. I’m a revelation.

Almost a thousand years ago, in the 1040s, Weihenstephan was known as the monastery brewery of the Benedictine monks. Today, it is the oldest still-existing brewery in the entire world and stands upon the Weihenstephan hill in old Bavaria, surrounded by traditional German countryside. With their rich heritage comes a high level of responsibility to produce consistent and great quality beer. Generations of knowledge, techniques and recipes have been passed down from brewmaster to brewmaster, ensuring that Weihenstephan is still producing the world's most awarded and highly-regarded German beer.
