I am Mc Chouffe — bold and bearded, with a ruby soul and a wild spirit.
Brewed since 1987 by the magical gnomes of the Ardennes, I’m the darker, deeper cousin in the Chouffe family — somewhere between a Belgian Dubbel and a Scotch Ale, or as the brewery likes to say: a proper 'Ardense sKotch'. With my hypnotic ruby-red glow and billowy white head, I’m as much a tale as I am a taste — rich, warming, and slightly mischievous.
On the nose and palate, I bring bold flavours of caramel, aniseed, liquorice, and spice, layered over roasted malts and finishing with a gentle touch of pear and soft bitterness. I’m smooth yet complex, comforting yet cheeky, with a sturdy 8% ABV that sneaks in like a trickster in the night.
