I am Rodenbach Grand Cru — the "Burgundy of Belgium", aged in oak and revered across generations.
I’m no ordinary ale. Crafted through mixed fermentation and matured with care, I owe my signature sweet-sour complexity to a masterful blend: one-third young beer, two-thirds matured ale that’s spent two full years resting in oak casks. That patient slumber deepens my soul — infusing layers of tart cherry, dark fruit, balsamic depth, and vinous warmth.
On the palate, I’m rich yet refreshing, robust yet refined. My finish lingers with elegant acidity and subtle oak, making me the crown jewel of Flemish red-brown ales. Pair me with Belgian grey shrimp croquettes or an aged Bruggekaas, and you’ll understand why I’m not just a beer — I’m a grand tradition in every glass.

Founded almost 200 years ago, the Rodenbach is a legendary Belgian family brewery that specialises in oak-aged, mixed-fermentation ales. The brewery was established by Pedro Rodenbach and his wife in 1821, but it was only until their grandson Eugène that Rodenbach started to produce the high-quality, unique, and flavourful beers we know today. The brewery has often been credited for popularising the Belgian sour beer - which is what it’s best known for. Rodenbach’s sours are not only highly-regarded by beer enthusiasts, but they are also constantly snatching up multiple beer awards and accolades!
