Hawkers was founded by Mazen Hajjar during the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War. The craft brewery was later relaunched in Australia, 2015, when Mazen visited Sydney and was inspired by the street vendors hawking the streets back in the days of the colony. Mazen and his team also went door to door promoting their beer samples in the bustling streets of Sydney. Today, Hawkers is recognised as one of Melbourne's largest independent breweries and the "People's Choice Best Beer" title holder at the Great Australian Beer Festival!
