My story begins at a coaching inn in Dendermonde, where weary drivers couldn’t leave their seats but still deserved a proper drink. So, an ingenious brewer — Pauwel Kwak himself — crafted a distinctive curved glass that could hang from their coach. I’ve been poured in that same iconic glass ever since, honoring both the innovation and hospitality of those early days.

Amber like autumn sunlight, I pour rich and radiant, with a creamy head and a velvety malt sweetness that unfolds gently on the tongue. Notes of caramel, baked fruit, and soft spice swirl together in perfect balance, backed by just the right touch of noble hops. My smooth, rounded body leaves a warmth and softness that lingers — a signature of Belgian Strong Ales.
