Back in 1979, the Lindemans family set out to reinvent kriek — and with me, they did. Born from a meeting of Belgian tradition and American curiosity, I was crafted not with whole cherries fermenting in the bottle, but with fresh-pressed, unsweetened cherry juice blended into lambic aged at least a year. A little unconventional? Absolutely. But when corks started popping mid-Atlantic, my brewers chose innovation over explosions — and I became a sensation.
I pour a deep, ruby red with a soft pink foam, bursting with the aroma of sun-ripened cherries. My flavour is a vibrant dance of sweet and sour, tart yet smooth, with just a whisper of red wine complexity from my lambic roots. At 3.5% ABV, I’m light on strength but big on character — the perfect balance between refreshment and indulgence.

Lindemans’ journey began on a quaint Vlezenbeek farm named “Hof ter Kwade Wegen” (the farm of bad roads), a name that belies the magic within. Rather than a curse, the farm's naturally abundant microflora—teeming with wild yeasts—became the secret behind its funky, spontaneously fermented beers. Generation after generation has nurtured Lindemans into one of Belgium’s most revered breweries, with its iconic lambics celebrated for their unique, flavorful character and hailed by many as the best in the world.
